A couple of weeks ago I traveled to a national conference and watched a wonderful documentary en route called The Biggest Little Farm. I guess I spend too many hours out in the sun but I find it difficult to romanticize farming and the end of the growing season; farming is a lot of HARD DIRTY WORK and struggle against the weeds, weather, insect pests, diseases, temperature extremes and so on and so forth! Well, this comical documentary captured it all, the romanticism of farming (at least some of us think so) and the hardships and realities of that come with it. I knew I would like this movie given the subject matter, but I ended up loving it – so I want to recommend it to you too! Check out this review from Roger Ebert and find a cool night to cozy up to a great farming flick!
