Winter months are a fantastic time to gear up for a successful and enjoyable gardening season! Some of our most popular classes are offered in the winter time including fruit tree pruning. Although it may seem too early to worry about fruit production, fruit tree pruning typically occurs in February or early March and, due to its popularity, classes fill up fast so register now to reserve your spot!
Also, winter is a great time to plan out future garden design projects. Jordan Valley Conservation Garden Park offers awesome classes on ‘Localscape’ and waterwise parking strip designs. Their gardening experts can take your yard from ‘wow’ to ‘kungpow’ and you will hit the ground running in the spring with your organized to do list to make it happen! Check out their website for a listing of all 2018 class and event offerings. Also, don’t forget to check out the USU Extension Online Calendar for more class offerings along the Wasatch Front.
